Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is one of three quarterbacks being featured on Netflix's 'Quarterback' series this year, along with Atlanta Falcons' Kirk Cousins, and Detroit Lions gunslinger, Jared Goff. With all three quarterbacks at different stages of their respective careers, the profiling of each on the show is unique to each of them and where they're at with their teams.

Following the release of the series, here are three interesting tidbits that were covered of Burrow in the first episode of 'Quarterback' this season:

Health is the main focus of the 2024 season:

In the early portion of the episode, the show chronicled Burrow's early journey through the NFL, including his 2021 trip to the Super Bowl where the Bengals were defeated by the Los Angeles Rams. As Burrow's career continued to trend upwards, all momentum was halted in the 2023 season when he was injured in a Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, which would cause him to miss the final seven games of the season. Not one to let an injury hold him back, Burrow's jumped straight into surgery and recovery to get himself ready for the 2024 season.

Did you know? Joe Burrow can play the piano

Searching for an escape away of football, Burrow shared a surprising hidden talent in his ability to play the piano. Appropriately nicknamed "Joe Cool" for his calm demeanor with a little bit of swagger, it is quite interesting that Burrow plays such a calm musical instrument.

Joe Burrow's career has been an "emotional rollercoaster"

Growing up, there was thought among the Burrow family that he would become a professional basketball player, but then in his sophomore year of high school in Ohio, football took over. Getting his first collegiate offer from University of Ohio where his father was defensive coordinator, to having to leave Ohio State for LSU in college, Burrow described his football journey as an "emotional rollercoaster". That rollercoaster has continued in the NFL as Burrow made it to the Super Bowl in just his second season, then the injury derailed him in 2023, and the road to recovery he was on last year.

The first episode of 'Quarterback' provided some early insight to what Burrow embarked on in the 2024 season, and the rest of the series is sure to open viewers up to even more of his journey and his life off the football field as well.
