The Chicago Bears know they must do everything possible to compete for a playoff spot this season.
Chicago hasn't made the playoffs since the 2020 season and competes in one of the most challenging divisions in the NFL, making it a daunting task.
One way for the Bears to get back to the postseason is by playing great defense and forcing turnovers.
The Bears need more help from the secondary to make more plays on the ball, and Brent Sobleski from Bleacher Report thinks Bears safety Tysheem Johnson is the team's most exciting undrafted free agent.
"Tysheem Johnson became one of the most interesting evaluations of the 2025 cycle because of the extremes found in his performance," Soblesji wrote. "At times, the Oregon product looked like a premium playmaker in the secondary with ball skills and a knack for always being around the action. Other times, he struggled in coverage and too easily allowed wide receivers to release and gain separation. The highs shouldn't be overlooked, because the lows can be mitigated with better technique and on-field judgment over when to take risks. Johnson is a modern defensive back in that he can play both safeties, corner, and cover the slot. He can be moved all over to help with the back end's flexibility, which creates a chance to make the roster because the front office sees a defender who can do more when necessary instead of being pigeonholed into one position."

In four college seasons, Johnson recorded six interceptions in 54 games, so he knows how to play the ball.
If the Bears can get some help from Johnson this season, it could pave the way for the team to make the playoffs.
