With Chicago Bears training camp starting this week, the team will have to make a handful of roster decisions.
In years past, the Bears had one of the worst rosters in the NFL, so making decisions on key players wasn't tricky. However, with all the new talent the team has acquired over the past few years, some familiar faces could lose their jobs this summer.
One of the areas the Bears are deep at is cornerback, which could leave a veteran player taking a step back this season.
Bryan Perez from Bears On SI thinks cornerback Tyrique Stevenson could lose his job if he doesn't have a strong training camp.
"Stevenson is arguably the most physical cornerback on the Chicago Bears' roster. But he's also the most unreliable. He's been victimized by his own mental lapses, and he's committed one too many penalties during his two years in the league," Perez wrote. "Now entering his third season, Stevenson must shake the rust from his Week 8 Fail Mary gaffe against the Washington Commanders. Johnson won't give Stevenson a long leash, especially not with a talented option like Terrell Smith behind him."

Stevenson was the No. 56 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and could see his role taken away if he doesn't have a strong training camp.
The Bears should have one of the best defenses in the NFL this season, which could cause Stevenson to see the field less with all the great talent they have.
