The Chicago Bears should try everything they can to upgrade their roster before the start of training camp.

It's challenging to acquire top players through trades since the NFL Draft is over, and teams are waiting until the trade deadline to make moves. However, there are a few teams that are still willing to part ways with certain players.

The Miami Dolphins have been willing to hear trade talks on cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and Pete Martuneac from Chicago Bears On SI thinks the Bears should trade for Ramsey.

"GM Ryan Poles has signed two of his starting cornerbacks to long-term extensions in back-to-back seasons, but the one remaining cornerback position remains a problem," Martuneac wrote. "Tyrique Stevenson is entering his third season and is on uncertain footing given his rollercoaster season in 2024. By trading for Ramsey, a 7-time Pro Bowler, the Bears would feature the best trio of cornerbacks in the NFL, and not by a little. Chicago's pass rush would still likely underwhelm, but the secondary would give offensive coordinators everywhere absolute fits."

Ramsey is in the middle of a $72 million contract with an opt-out next season, carrying a $18 million cap hit.

If the Bears do want to trade for Ramsey, they will be taking on a high salary for a cornerback who's on the back end of his career.
