The Chicago Bears' 2025 season is going to be one that many NFL fans will pay close attention to.
This offseason, the Bears hired Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to be their next head coach to unleash young quarterback Caleb Williams.
Williams struggled in his first NFL season, but Johnson should be able to get the best out of him.
The Bears did everything they could to upgrade the offense, but the defense should look to add more help. According to Matt Holder from Bleacher Report, the Bears should consider signing pass rusher Za'Darius Smith.
"The pass-rusher has also been linked to the Bears via Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, so staying in the NFC North and reuniting with Ben Johnson is a possibility," Holder wrote. "With Dayo Odeyingbo taking the early-down responsibilities and sliding inside in passing situations, Smith would be a great complement on the edge with Montez Sweat."

Smith has spent ten years in the NFL and has been selected to three Pro Bowls, with the most recent one coming in 2022.
If the Bears want to add a good pass rusher who could help get to opposing quarterbacks, then adding Smith would be a brilliant idea.
