During the 2025 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears made a handful of picks upgrading their offense.
The Bears used their first-round pick on Michigan tight end Colston Loveland and then turned around to take Missouri receiver Luther Burden in the second round.
Chicago wasn't done taking players in the second round and also drafted offensive lineman Ozzy Trapilo out of Boston College with the No. 56 pick.
With Trapilo joining the team, it means veteran players could be pushed for their starting jobs, and Bryan Perez from Bears On SI thinks tackle Braxton Jones could lose his job this summer.
"Jones is battling two fronts at the start of 2025 training camp: He's recovering from a fractured ankle suffered last December AND trying to hold off rookie Ozzy Trapilo for his starting job," Perez wrote. "Not great. And if there's one thing the Chicago Bears won't hesitate to do, it's replacing Jones (who's in the final year of his rookie deal) with Trapilo, who's in Year 1 of his contract. The left tackle competition will depend mostly on how quickly Jones can get back on the practice field. The clock is ticking."

Jones was drafted by the Bears in 2022 with pick No. 168 and started 40 games over three seasons.
Jones better come prepared to this training camp, or there is a chance he will lose his job to the rookie.
