Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane has been a six-shooter since the NFL Draft ended, firing off his unfiltered thoughts to anyone who would listen.
Beane took the NFL world by storm after the NFL Draft when he appeared on WGR in Buffalo, saying people who are "b*tching" about the Bills not taking a receiver make no sense, considering the Bills led the NFL in scoring in 2024. The Bills then signed former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore.
Sitting down with Tyler Dunne of Go Long, Beane opened up about several topics in a long conversation, including more wide receiver talk. Beane himself even said he would have loved to trade up to draft Matthew Golden, but it would have been far too expensive to do so.
"As I've said 100 times, I would love to add Matthew Golden or one of these guys, but not at the expense of things that help you win from a more important standpoint," Beane said.
Beane reiterated multiple times that the 2025 class was very deep on the defensive side of the ball, which is where the Bills needed to get better. It was very clear that Beane and the Bills wanted to build up the defensive line, taking T.J. Sanders, Landon Jackson, and Deone Walker. If these picks pan out and the offense continues to dominate, Beane will be the one to have the last laugh when the Bills host a parade in downtown Buffalo.
