Bills getting set for reunion with playoff hero wide receiver? image

The Buffalo Bills seem to have their wide receivers room all set. Buffalo drafted Kaden Prather in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft and signed former Cleveland Brown and New York Jet Elijah Moore shortly after. This came after signing josh Palmer at the beginning of the offseason. With their room looking complete, the unit will be set to battle it out in mini-camp and training camp for roster spots. However, could one more name find himself in the mix?

Former Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars after just one season. Davis spent four seasons as the team's No. 2 boundary receiver, providing sparks as a deep threat and developing into one of the better blocking wide receivers in the NFL. However, inconsistencies in the pass game led to Buffalo not bringing him back last offseason. He dealt with injuries in 2024, but gutted through them. However, he only caught 20 passes all season, which led to Jacksonville letting him go.

Should the Bills want to bring Davis back, it could make sense from both a scheme and locker room fit. Davis has a good relationship with Josh Allen, he's a good run blocker, and he won't be an expensive addition. It could end up being a move that both parties are interested in.
