The Buffalo Bills needed a cornerback entering the 2025 NFL Draft, and they landed a potential star with the No. 30 pick. Buffalo selected Maxwell Hairston out of Kentucky to be the hopeful opposite starter to Christian Benford. Shortly after being selected, Hairston was asked what the Bills are getting in him.
"They're getting someone who will get Josh Allen the ball back," Hairston said with a big smile on his face.
The star cornerback doesn't lack confidence. He was the fastest player at the NFL Combine this season, running a 4.28 40-yard dash. He led the SEC in interceptions in 2023, and he fits the mold for what the Bills look for in their cornerbacks. At 6-foot-1, he is long, and he can make plays to flip momentum.
