Micah Parsons requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, and the Baltimore Ravens could be a potential landing spot.
For The Win's Cory Woodroof proposes a trade that would send Parsons to Baltimore, with Dallas receiving a 2026 first-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and edge rusher Odafe Oweh.
"Parsons could transform an already loaded Ravens defense and give it the possibility of being the league's best unit. Sure, the Ravens would have to send the farm, but you could easily see Baltimore going for it by sending a "you can't refuse this" level of compensation for Parsons," Woodroof wrote.
Parsons' relationship with the Cowboys seems to be completely destroyed. The 26-year-old demanded a trade due to the franchise's lack of communication with his agent on an extension throughout the offseason.
Dallas has no intentions of trading Parsons, but at some point, they may be forced to cut ties with the superstar pass rusher.
Acquiring Parsons would elevate the Ravens into the favorites in the AFC. Baltimore's pass rush is effective, but the unit lacks a true No.1 edge rusher. Parsons would immediately fix that issue, as the Penn State product has posted double-digit sacks in each of his first four seasons.
The Ravens have the draft capital to trade for Parsons in a deal with the Cowboys, and giving up Odafe Oweh in the package would also make sense, as Dallas will likely want a starting pass rusher back. Oweh tallied a career-high ten sacks in 2024 and is a rising star on Zach Orr's defense. Trading him away to acquire Parsons would be well worth it, though.
However, signing Parsons to an extension could be a bit tricky, as the 2021 No.12 overall pick will want a record-setting deal and Baltimore doesn't have much cap room in 2026.
Overall, it will cost a ton of resources and money to add Parsons, but there's no denying that the electric pass rusher is a generational talent who is worth the massive haul and mega contract. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta should look into a trade for Parsons and go all-in for a Super Bowl in 2025.
