One letter can make quite the difference.
That's especially true with the name of Atlanta Falcons second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
It's pretty self-explanatory, but a local TV station in Atlanta didn't avoid the error in a broadcast on Wednesday night.
Here's the video, shared by the popular social media account Awful Announcing on X:

That's definitely not ideal. It can't help that the crucial letters there are right on top of each other on a keyboard, but obviously, it's still a mistake that can't happen.
Penix is hoping to be on Atlanta TV stations for many years to come.
The lefty QB was the No. 8 overall pick in 2024 out of Washington. The Falcons liked him so much that they drafted him despite having just signed Kirk Cousins to a $180 million contract.
Cousins got benched late last season after throwing a league-worst 16 interceptions, and Penix showed in his late-season cameos that he's got a big arm and likes to throw it down the field.
The Falcons have now given Penix the starting job full-time for 2025. He'll have Cousins behind him as the most expensive backup in the league.
The NFC South is there for the taking, and Penix is surrounded by great talent like Drake London, Bijan Robinson and Kyle Pitts.
He's hoping that at the end of the season, the Falcons can spell out division champs on some gear after a special campaign.
