The Tennessee football team has had some huge recruiting weekends on Rocky Top this summer, and they are looking to load up the 2026 class. Right now, all eyes are on five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys, who may flip his commitment from LSU after taking several visits throughout the summer.
“A potential game-wrecker on the outside that can attack all three levels and constantly challenge defenses. Pairs elite ball skills together with dynamic route running, superior athleticism and a long-levered frame. Creates separation with his suddenness and will break off defensive backs with snappy cuts,” 247 Sports’ Andrew Ivins wrote.
Keys is the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2026 class, and landing him would be huge for Tennessee. If the Vols secure his commitment, it would mark their third five-star recruit this cycle, joining Faizon Brandon and Gabriel Osenda.
“The Volunteers already have two five-star prospects committed. A five-star QB committed in Faizon Brandon, who is a huge recruiting tool for Tennessee, and they also have Gabriel Osenda,” Sports Illustrated’s Najeh Wilkins wrote.
When evaluating schools, Keys says he is focusing primarily on player development.
“When it comes to money and development, of course I'd take development first because we trying to get to that big money, which is NFL," Keys said. "When it comes to 700 to seven figures, and the production is there with the 700, I would take it because I want to be ready and prepared for the next level as fast as possible. So development is No. 1 for me, for sure."

For Tennessee fans, Keys’ latest comments about the program should be encouraging.
“Tennessee I’m in love with the coaches, recruits, players, all that," said Keys. "I like the environment, fanbase, all that type of stuff. They just make me feel comfortable.”
That’s great to hear, but a final decision likely won’t come until close to Early Signing Day. The recruitment process for Keys is expected to be long and unpredictable, but hopefully, the Vols will secure his final commitment.
