The Kansas Jayhawks will take on the UNLV Rebels in the 2023 Guaranteed Rate Bowl Tuesday on ESPN.

The Jayhawks are having an outstanding season, posting an 8-4 regular season record. At one point this season, the Jayhawks were the No. 16 ranked team in the country. Recent losses to Texas Tech and Kansas State stripped them of their ranking, however.

The Rebels are likewise trying to cap their season off with a bang. They are 9-4 this season with a 6-2 record in the Mountain West Conference. Trailing only Boise State and San Diego State, they are the third standing team in the conference.

The Jayhawks and Rebels are similarly structured teams, as they both have top 25 offenses in the country, but are otherwise ranked towards the back in defense.

Devin Neal, running back for the Jayhawks, has the 15th most rushing yards in FBS this season. He's posted 1,209 rushing yards accompanied by 15 rushing touchdowns.

The Rebels are led by quarterback Jayden Maiava, who's thrown for 2,794 yards, 14 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He's posted 261 rushing yards and an additional three rushing touchdowns, too.
