The Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson saga continues to unfold with what feels like a new chapter every day — and the latest may be the most troubling yet.

This week, Pablo Torre revealed a growing level of concern surrounding Belichick’s relationship with 24-year-old Hudson — not just from the media, but from Belichick’s own family. Speaking on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, Torre claimed the coach’s inner circle is alarmed by the possibility of damaging material being used against him, stemming from last year’s infamous viral video.

That clip, first published by the Daily Mail, showed Belichick shirtless and barefoot leaving Hudson’s house. While it was played for laughs during The Roast of Tom Brady, Torre said the incident is no joke behind the scenes.

“The question I had as a reporter when I saw that video … is how did the Daily Mail get that video? Huh. How does one get internal Ring cam footage from a home? How does that happen? Who had access to those videos?” Torre asked.

“Let’s say it wasn’t Jordon Hudson … who was it? And what other videos might have been taken without Bill Belichick’s knowledge, at almost age 70?”

According to Torre, Belichick’s family is actively trying to understand who leaked the footage — and whether more exists that could be used for financial or reputational leverage.

“How else could (Belichick’s inner circle) ensure that there is nothing else that could be monetized or used against the highest-paid employee in the state of North Carolina?” Torre said. “It’s just a question that, I can report now exclusively, that Bill Belichick’s family is worried about. That they are looking into. And I feel like the university that says I’m a liar might want to do the same.”

On The Domonique Foxworth Show, Torre raised a new and far more dramatic possibility: that Belichick may never even coach his first game for the Tar Heels, which is currently scheduled for Week 1 against TCU. He pointed to June 1 — the day Belichick’s reported $10 million buyout drops to just $1 million — as a potential turning point.

With internal tensions building and UNC officials potentially on edge, the optics of retaining Belichick are becoming uncomfortable with each passing rumor. Cutting ties early with the former Patriots head coach could realistically be an option — though not the most desirable one.

At this point, it’s not just about preparing for kickoff. It’s about whether or not Belichick will be roaming the sideline in Chapel Hill come Labor Day evening when the Tar Heels faceoff against TCU.
