In Arch Manning’s star kid childhood, one of the few normal things was idolizing NFL players, the ones that inspired him to be a football player.

For Manning, those influences were Joe Burrow and Josh Allen.

“I watch a lot of Joe Burrow and Josh Allen, those are my guys,” Manning recently revealed during his speech at the Manning Passing Academy.

“They're dogs. I've watched some of their college film. They're just good players, elite competitors, and fun to watch.

“I remember watching Josh Allen here, when he was at Wyoming, throw it 75 yards. It’s cool to see where he’s at now,” Manning added. “That’s right. Yeah. Joe Burrow has all the swag and style, (so) I don’t know if I have as much as him.”

For what it’s worth, Manning appears to have the skills and all the hype to reach where both these QBs are.

How he uses those skills and improves will only be known as he starts the 2025 season as the Longhorns’ QB1.

Additionally, the chances of Manning being one of the top first-round picks like Allen and, possibly, the No. 1 pick like Burrow, look good as well. Maybe even a Heisman winner as well.

Or taking the hypothetical situation further, possibly reach the fandom like Patrick Mahomes, another QB who left an impression on the Texas QB.

“Obviously, (Patrick) Mahomes. I like to take bits and pieces from everyone, and I like watching the other guys, the other great (quarterbacks).”

All that said, fans will have to wait at least until the 2027 NFL Draft to find out.
