The first week of July has become one of the biggest weeks of the year on the recruiting trail.
And Texas isn't planning on missing out on the fun.
In fact, they are creating a good chunk of it.
The Longhorns are firmly in the mix for a flurry of commitments this week, including Mayde Creek (Texas) four-star edge-rusher Kosi Okpala and Aledo (Texas) four-star wide receiver Kaydon Finley.
But July 4th could provide the real fireworks, as Texas is awaiting the possible commitments of Lake Ridge (Texas) five-star offensive lineman Felix Ojo and North Crowley (Texas) elite four-star offensive lineman John Turntine III.
Ojo, the nation's No. 5 overall prospect and No. 1 offensive tackle, has been a huge priority for the Longhorns for some time - with five-star quarterback Dia Bell even getting in on the action.
Heading into the final days of his recruitment, Texas is viewed as the favorite, but Florida, Michigan and Ohio State won't go away quietly.
Ojo would become the highest-rated offensive line pledge in the modern era for the Longhorns.
And that's only the beginning.
Turntine doesn't generate the same level of pub as Ojo, but perhaps he should.
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound versatile lineman just misses the cut as a five-star prospect in his own right at No. 36 overall nationally, making him the No. 3 interior lineman in the country.
Turntine is down to a final four of Michigan, Stanford, Texas and Texas A&M - with the Longhorns, once again, being viewed as the favorite as his decision nears.
Giving Bell a pair of elite offensive lineman to work with at the collegiate level feels like a recipe for a extended success on the offensive side of the ball.
And it may only be days away.
Overall, the Texas recruiting class is ranked No. 14 nationally, but would jump all the way to No. 7 with the additions of Okpala, Ojo and Turntine, a very likely trio of additions.
That move would see the Longhorns leapfrog Tennessee, LSU, Penn State, Florida State, Michigan, Clemson and Miami in a matter of days.
Not a bad way to celebrate America's birthday, huh Texas?
