South Carolina Gamecocks QB LaNorris Sellers has some of the most anticipation of any prospect leading up to the 2025 season. Though really, it's about his next career decision.
Seller's declaration for the NFL will be an announcement many will wait for, whether it comes in 2026 or 2027, as several way-too-early 2026 mock drafts have Sellers as one of the top QBs.
Shane Beamer's assessment underlines the confidence he has in Seller's skills.
"I think, just the way he was raised and the kind of the kind of person he is, nothing bothers him," Beamer told the media during the Welcome Home Tour stop in Greenville. "And he’s the same all the time, whether it be after we win a huge game or have a tough loss. Practice or pre game, post game, whatever it is, he’s the same person.
"He’s steady, and he’s got a great family around him. His character and his humility, that he is always striving to be better and doesn’t let a lot of outside noise or external influences bother him. He is who he is and doesn’t let anything get to him.
"He’s done a nice job in his own way. Don’t be somebody that you’re not, but also understand that you’re the quarterback, and people on this team respect the heck out of you. Use that voice to lead, because there’s certainly a void of leadership from last year’s team with what we lost."
The Gamecocks' head coach's praise of the QB is enough to justify the hype surrounding him as an early-round QB. And that's before the 2025 season.
The QB could very well cement himself as the top signal-caller off the board by giving a mind-bending performance in the 2025 season like Cam Ward did last season.
Seller's saga would continue once again from August 31 when South Carolina takes on Virginia Tech in Atlanta.
