Friday marks commitment day for Servite (California) tight end Luke Sorensen.
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound pass-catcher is officially down to a final three of Nebraska, Ole Miss and Penn State and will be announcing his future home at 6 p.m. PT with 247Sports:

So, who will it be?
Prediction: Luke Sorensen to Nebraska Cornhuskers
While the talented tight end originally scheduled official visits to all three of his finalists, Sorensen only made it to two.
He visited Ole Miss in early May, then took his scheduled June 5 official visit to Nebraska - one that included a fishing trip with legendary coach Tom Osborne.
After that, Sorensen canceled his trip to Penn State and announced Friday's commitment date.
With that in mind, it seems like a near-lock that the California product will be headed to Nebraska for college.
And the recruiting industry agrees.
Both On3 and 247Sports consider the Cornhuskers to be the overwhelming favorite, and it certainly fits the timeline of events.
Here's what 247Sports had to say about Sorensen as a prospect:
"Sorenson is a high major prospect at the tight end position and is on the short list when talking about the best in-line blocking tight ends in the country. He actually started out at right tackle as a freshman, weighing just 185 pounds before moving to tight end his sophomore year. He has a well built 6-foot-3.5, 250 pound frame with big features including 11” hands and a size 17 shoe."
"He wasn’t featured a ton in Servite’s passing game as a junior, primarily because the quarterback situation at the school was unsettled but we’ve seen him at multiple events this off-season and he showed the ability to get vertical and win multiple jump ball battles. He’s natural with his hands and knows how to carve out space and use his body to create separation."
"He has the multi-sport background we love and is young for his grade and will play his entire senior year as a 17 year old. There’s a ton of upside here and we love where his game is trending."
Overall, Nebraska's 2026 recruiting class is ranked No. 76 nationally and consists of just five pledges.
With plenty of room to grow, the 'Huskers should climb up the rankings significantly before December's early signing period.
They are highly likely to take a small step forward Friday with Sorensen.
