Penn State had the best offseason out of any team in college football, and that's tough to debate. Whether it be the additions they made in the transfer portal or finding a way to keep some of its top players around, Penn State just proved to programs around the country that building a foundation and having NIL money is more important than ever before.
Getting Nicholas Singleton back was major, as he enters the year as one of the best running backs in the nation.
Some even believe that he could be a first-round pick, including Pro Football Network, which recently predicted that the Baltimore Ravens would select him with the 29th overall pick to eventually replace Derrick Henry.
“The Baltimore Ravens have been elite on the ground every year Lamar Jackson’s been healthy. Drafting Nicholas Singleton now ensures that continues whenever Derrick Henry slows down.
“Since 2019, Baltimore leads the league with 492 runs of 10+ yards (112 more than the next best; Philadelphia). They also have 137 runs of 20+ yards, 45 more than Arizona in second,” they wrote.

Henry is widely regarded as one of the top two running backs in the NFL, so Singleton would have some big shoes to fill.
However, after posting a 1,099-yard and 12-touchdown season, averaging 6.4 yards per carry, it isn't out of the question to suggest that he can be a very good player in the NFL one day.
Learning under Henry for a few years could also be something that interests him, as he'd be learning from one of the best to ever lace them up.
