The Oregon Ducks and head coach Dan Lanning have struck gold on the recruiting trail in recent years — and Thursday morning was no different. The program landed its second official commit of the 2027 class, and it’s a big one.
Brentwood Academy wide receiver Kesean Bowman, one of the most highly regarded prospects in the country, is headed to Oregon.
Bowman made his decision public Thursday morning, with recruiting insider Hayes Fawcett of Rivals and On3Sports among the first to share the news.
Bowman is considered one of the top receivers in the country. He was ranked No. 6 at his position and No. 36 overall in the 2027 class according to the 247Sports Composite.
He holds a 98 overall rating and picked Oregon over offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, Auburn, Colorado, and Florida.
Oregon receivers coach Ra’Shaad Samples played a major role in Bowman’s recruitment — just as he did when the Ducks landed five-star wideout Dakorien Moore. His growing influence on the trail is becoming a difference-maker.

Bowman had a great sophomore year at Brentwood Academy, catching over 50 passes and racking up more than 1,000 yards with eight touchdowns. He’s already making a name for himself with his speed, sharp routes, and the way he goes up and makes tough catches.
He’s got a couple more years of high school to keep improving, and when he gets to Oregon, he’ll be joining a program that’s become a popular spot for some really good receivers.
Oregon’s had guys like Troy Franklin and Tez Johnson head to the NFL recently, so Bowman’s definitely in good company.
Bowman’s commitment is another statement win for Lanning and a staff that continues to stack blue-chip talent. If his production keeps pace with his potential, the Ducks may have just added their next breakout star.
