The Oregon Ducks have been picked to finish third in the Big Ten Preseason Media Poll, behind the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Coming off an undefeated regular season and a Big Ten championship, Oregon's third-place prediction may not sit well with Duck fans.

But it is somewhat understandable.

Penn State is widely regarded as the national title favorite this year, while Ohio State is the reigning champ and thumped Oregon in the Rose Bowl the last time the Ducks took the field.

Still, Dan Lanning's program is a -300 favorite to make the college football playoff and should not be counted out in its quest to win back-to-back championships in the Big Ten.

On this week's "West Coast Biased" podcast with Jason Scukanec and Andrew Nemec, the duo discussed Oregon's preseason No. 3 ranking and previewed the offense with a deep-dive at the depth chart.

In episode 2 it was time to preview Oregon's dynamic defense, which could be among the best in the country this season.
