The Oregon Ducks are back on the recruiting trail once again, and when it comes to one of their big priority targets, they have some elite teams chasing him.

The recruit comes in the form of Immanuel Iheanacho, a five-star offensive tackle whose 247Sports Crystal Ball projection sees him land in Eugene over the likes Penn State, Alabama and Auburn, to name a few.

However, Iheanacho visited the LSU Tigers over the weekend and liked what he saw. While the Ducks remain the frontrunners, anything is possible, he told On3's Chad Simmons.

“I can see myself there,” Iheanacho said. “I want to be objective on every visit, but this visit really helped LSU. LSU is right there with Oregon after this visit. It is a great place.”

If the Ducks were to lose out on Iheanacho, it may not be disastrously detrimental for Lanning, but it would be another blow to a 2026 class that appeared to have the potential to be in the top. 10. The Ducks currently sit at No. 27.

Oregon won a Big Ten championship this past season in its first year in the conference before losing to Ohio State in a rematch game in the Rose Bowl.

Iheanacho ranks as the nation's No. 22 player, hailing from Baltimore, Md. In-state, Iheanacho ranks as the No. 2 interior offensive lineman and overall, regardless of position.

Iheanacho is set to make his commitment decision later this summer, as Tuesday, Aug. 5, is his target date.

Recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks says he's impressed with what he has seen so far from Iheanacho on film.

"Elite offensive line prospect who can likely play tackle in college and perhaps beyond, but could also become a rare guard candidate," Brooks wrote.

For now, it remains to be seen if the Ducks land a major pledge.
