EA Sports College Football 26 is set to release July 10, and Husky Stadium is already getting national attention.
The home of the Washington Huskies landed at No. 18 on the game’s list of the top 25 toughest places to play, a nod to one of the loudest game-day environments in college football.
Husky Stadium’s reputation for noise is nothing new. The cantilevered roofs help keep sound from escaping, and when more than 70,000 fans are packed in, it can get loud fast.
It’s been that way for decades. In 1992, during a game against Nebraska, the crowd noise was measured at 133.6 decibels — still considered the loudest ever recorded at a college football game, according to ESPN.
Along with the noise, the stadium offers one of the most scenic settings in the country. Perched along the shores of Lake Washington, it’s become one of the most recognizable venues in college football.
The program has relied on their home field for years, and it’s played a part in plenty of big moments. From toppling ranked opponents to hosting rivalry games, the stadium’s noise and setting have long made it a difficult place for visiting teams to settle in and execute.

The Huskies are coming off a disappointing 6-7 season, but with home games this fall against Ohio State, Illinois, and Oregon, they’ll need every bit of that home-field advantage if they hope to pull off an upset or two.
And if EA Sports’ latest rankings are any indication, Husky Stadium is more than ready to deliver that advantage.
