NC Central hosts North Carolina A&T for an in-state FCS showdown in Week 4 of the college football season.
NC Central is looking for a home win to boost morale this week — the squad is 1-2 so far, and have yet to be victorious on their own turf. The Eagles went 9-3 last season and even made it to the FCS playoffs but lost in the first round to Richmond.
Last week, NC Central lost to North Carolina, 45-10, but they stayed within arm's length for the majority of the game. The Eagles were the first to score thanks to J'Mari Taylor's touchdown run in the 12-play, 75-yard opening drive of the game.
North Carolina A&T, also 1-2 on the season, just won its first game since joining the Coastal Athletic Association last year — a 27-20 triumph over Winston-Salem State. The Aggies were 1-10 last year and 0-8 in conference play.
This Saturday, they will be looking to bounce back from their 13-42 loss against Delaware last week.
