A lingering issue for Michigan this season has been quarterback play. Until a game against Washington last week, they switched between quarterbacks Davis Warren and Alex Orji multiple times.

However, last week, Indiana transfer Jack Tuttle made his season debut, going 10 for 18 for 98 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt says Tuttle gives the Wolverines a better chance the rest of the season.

“Now all of the sudden they have a higher ceiling with Jack Tuttle,” Klatt said on “The Joel Klatt Show.” “I believe that they expected Jack Tuttle to be available at the start of the year. This is the only way that I can reconcile what’s been going on through the first month of the season at Michigan.”

Tuttle helped lead the Michigan offense to an impressive comeback despite the loss in Seattle. While the Wolverines got down early 14-0, they scored 17 unanswered entering the fourth quarter thanks to the new-look offense.

It will be interesting to see how Tuttle looks at the remainder of Michigan’s schedule. The Wolverines have a big road test against No. 23 Illinois next week, followed by tests against Michigan State, No. 3 Oregon, and No. 18 Indiana.
