Bill O'Brien has made his decision. Dylan Longeran, a former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback, will get the start for the Eagles when they take on Fordham on August 30th.

Longeran came over from Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide in the winter. He originally went to Tuscaloosa and had a strong career at Brookwood High School.

Longeran played just one time for the Crimson Tide. The 6-foot-2 right-hander went 5-for-6 for 23 yards against Mercer Carter. He also got a rushing attempt in the second half of a game against Western Kentucky.

He is going to get the start over Grayson James, who is a senior with the Eagles. James started six games for Boston College following the departure of Thomas Castellanos. O'Brien is familiar with Longeran, as he recruited him to Alabama when he was an assistant there.

Following the home game on August 30, the Eagles will head out on the road on Sept. 6 and take on the Michigan State Spartans. It will be another road game on Sept. 13, as they are at Stanford, before coming back home to host California on September 27.
