Even beyond his son's slipping in the NFL Draft and bailing on the press at Big 12 Football Media Day, the talk around Deion Sanders this off-season has revolved around his mysterious health complication. The 57-year-old has been away from his squad in Boulder, trying to recover from an unknown condition.

Sanders finally broke his silence on his personal status during a recent press conference, suggesting he wouldn't provide specific details, but he was living well, whatever that means.

One analyst suggested that this ongoing health battle could make "Primetime" remain in Colorado for the foreseeable future.

On a recent episode of his show "Maggie & Perloff," host Andrew Perloff made a bizarre assessment of Deion's recent issues and how they might affect his tenure with the Buffaloes.

"He's not going to the NFL to coach his son," Perloff said. "If he can't rev it up to come back to Colorado or to be sniffed at as the Cowboys coach this off-season, the NFL is off the table because of the health situation. Maybe he has to settle for Colorado, and that keeps him there. Where is he going?"

It's challenging to analyze the take when Perloff makes an irresponsible leap in trying to assume this Deion health scare is beyond an isolated incident.

Deion might not have suitors at the next level, but he's a proven program builder in college football.

A flailing SEC school with an abundance of resources and over-involved boosters could surely target Deion in an attempt to reignite a team.

Until there's clarity on what happened to Deion these past few months, any discussion about his future is rooted in reckless speculation.
