The College Football Playoff champion has been determined for the 2018 season. No. 2 Clemson routed No. 1 Alabama 44-16 in the national championship game Jan. 7 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., and completed the first 15-0 season in modern college football history.

Clemson reached the final by rolling past No. 3 Notre Dame (12-1) in the Cotton Bowl. Alabama (14-1) advanced to the championship round — and set up a third CFP title game with Clemson in four seasons — by outpacing No. 4 Oklahoma (12-2) in the Orange Bowl.
