The only rankings ones that matter were released Sunday, setting up the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Following Saturday's conference championship games, the top four teams consist of No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Ohio State and No. 4 Notre Dame. The Crimson Tide and Fighting Irish will face off in the relocated Rose Bowl at AT&T Stadium while Clemson and Ohio State face off in the Sugar Bowl.
Texas A&M, despite lobbying by coach Jimbo Fisher, is the first team out at No. 5. Oklahoma, which won a sixth consecutive Big 12 championship on Saturday, is the second team out at No. 6.
