Week 1 of the college football season is meant to start something fresh, but this year's version isn't pleasing everyone.
Monday evening, Ohio State revealed its game times against the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines in Week 1 and Week 14, respectively. Both, however, have a unique commonality.
"Big Noon Kickoff" on Fox is a regular occurrence for Ohio State, but social media has begun to take issue with the marquee time slot opening with the Cotton Bowl rematch rather than adjusting it to a night game.
"I hate Big Noon Kickoff," Pick 6 Pack tweeted.
"Doesn’t matter anyways, Texas is getting blown out," Zane Hamilton tweeted.
It has become so dire that one Buckeyes "X" account named Buckeye Blitz has gone as far as to create a petition in an attempt to lure the network into dumping "Big Noon Kickoff" altogether.

The petition currently has 277 signatures and counting since its initial release Monday evening and it's apparent the complaints aren't going to end anytime soon.
The Buckeyes beat the Longhorns in January to advance to the national title game in Will Howard's second-to-last collegiate start. It was followed by a 34-23 win against Notre Dame to cap off the season, giving coach Ryan Day his first national title.
Now, the Buckeyes embark on a new era without Howard and have yet to make any formal decisions about his replacement, although an intense quarterback controversy still looms large.
As for the Longhorns, it's Arch Manning's team. They go as far as he takes them at quarterback, and beating Ohio State would be an ideal scenario to start the year.
The game could be the first of at least two meetings this year, as both teams could rematch in the College Football Playoff.
For the time being, the season must play out as such.
