Bret Bielema is one of college football’s most charismatic coaches, making his latest social media episode unsurprisingly another example of his personality.

The college football community is beginning to notice EA’s soon-to-be-released college football video game, the video game brand’s second installment since the series returned from a long hiatus this past year.

Add Bielema to the list. The soon-to-be fifth-year Illinois coach caught wind of having a prominent placement in the game alongside his fellow coordinators, Barry Lunney Jr. and Aaron Henry.

"Big moment and milestone for me," Bielema tweeted.

Bielema wasn't in the game last year, as noted by a fan in Bielema's replies who took a unique approach to ensuring he felt included.

"I’ve been running as custom Bret Bielema for months now in EA Sports College Football '25," the fan wrote.

While it's unknown whether Bielema will play the game, he at least has taken an interested viewpoint, knowing that he and his team have emerged as a newly-minted, recognized college football brand.

Illinois' first three game times were confirmed Thursday as it'll host two of them (Western Illinois/Western Michigan), while it travels to Duke in Week 2.

Kickoff for the Illini's season-opener against the Leathernecks commences Friday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 p.m. ET on Peacock.
