Arch Manning of Texas

Arch Manning appears poised for a massive year. Finally the starter at Texas, he's the betting favorite for the Heisman Trophy right now. He's expected to declare at the end of the year and be the first overall pick in the NFL draft next spring. He's arguably the most notable college player right now. According to EA Sports, however, he's not a top-five player at his position.

Arch Manning snubbed by EA Sports

Cade Clubnik is the top-rated quarterback in EA Sports College Football 26, the second consecutive yearly iteration of the once-dormant college football video game franchise. He's tied with Garrett Nussmeier and Drew Allar at 92 overall for the best at the position. Behind them are LaNorris Sellers and Sam Leavitt at 91.

Somehow, Arch Manning didn't make the list. The Texas quarterback has +700 odds (FanDuel) to be the next Heisman Trophy winner following Travis Hunter, but he's not on the list. Nussmeier, for his credit, is right there at +800, so his rating is perhaps not undeserved. Klubnik is right behind at +900, so that's not entirely shocking, either.

Still, it's hard to conjure up a world where Manning isn't at the very least one of the five best quarterbacks in the nation. Relatively unproven? Sure, but he's undeniably talented and should be among these QBs in the upcoming video game. Once the season begins and ratings change, look for Manning to skyrocket.
