It's hard to tell whether UConn coach Bob Diaco is acknowledging the American Athletic Conference's place in the college football pecking order or merely throwing shade at AAC East Division rival UCF.
Either way, Diaco, speaking Tuesday at the conference's media days in Newport, R.I., got across the message: Given a choice between "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives" and an AAC game, TV viewers might — might — pick football.
