Angel Reese has done her part to keep the first quarter of the LSU vs. Iowa game competitive in the Elite Eight.

The Tigers held a 31-26 lead at the end of the first quarter, which ended on a 10-0 LSU run.

Reese and Caitlin Clark have stolen the show early. Reese had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists after the first quarter. Clark had 11 points and 3 assists.

LSU was trailing by as many as 8 points in the first quarter, but stormed back thanks to some fiery words from Reese during a Tigers timeout.

"Stop taking dumb shots!" Reese was caught on camera yelling at her teammates during a timeout.

"Angel can score down there at will," LSU coach Kim Mulkey told Holly Rowe after the first quarter. Mulkey also stated that her team played far better after that timeout.
