Dylan Ennis began his college basketball career at Rice before switching to Villanova, but will transfer to a third school after graduating in May. The 6-2 guard will be eligible to play at his new school immediately.

"Dylan has chosen to play his final season in another program," Villanova coach Jay Wright said in a statement. "We're proud that Dylan will graduate in May with a degree in Communications and appreciate all of his efforts throughout his career here."

Ennis is eligible for a fifth year because he sat out the 2012-13 season after transferring from Rice. He averaged just under 10 points per game last season for the Wildcats, who won the Big East and earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Villanova's season ended with a record of 33-3 following a loss to N.C. State in the third round of the tournament.

Ennis, who averaged 3.5 assists per game last season, wanted to be the team's full-time point guard, but with McDonald’s All-American Jalen Brunson set to join Ryan Arcidiacono in the back court, that may not have been possible.

"Dylan is interested in finding a program that will allow him to play the role of a traditional point guard so he can be the primary ball-handler," stated Wright. "We support Dylan and thank him for all of his efforts as a student and athlete at Villanova."
