As if trying to snap a three-game Pac-12 losing streak isn't challenging enough, California must do it without scoring and assists leader Tyrone Wallace.

The senior guard, averaging 15.4 points and 5.6 assists per game, is out 4-6 weeks with a broken right hand sustained in practice, the school announced Tuesday.

A first-team All-Pac-12 selection last season, Wallace hasn't missed a game in his career, playing in 119 over four seasons, including 108 starts.

Wallace also is averaging 5.1 rebounds.

Cal (12-6, 2-3 in the Pac-12) started 2-0 in conference play but carries a three-game losing streak into Thursday's home game against Arizona State.

Junior Sam Singer (4.1 points in 19 minutes per game) is expected to replace Wallace in the starting lineup.
