Syracuse admits mistake in Tyler Ennis jersey sales-pitch tweet image

Jay Bilas took the NCAA to task last August after discovering that the association’s commerce website search function led you directly to jerseys of players if you typed in their names.

The moral of the story: the NCAA continually calls athletes amateurs, refusing to give them any financial benefit for use of their likeness, but has no shame in profiting hand over fist off the players.

Bilas ought to like what Syracuse tweeted out Friday afternoon. The tweet has since been deleted, but we have the screen capture here.

Bilas has not yet chimed in with what Syracuse did, but we all wait for what he’ll say.

Meanwhile, Syracuse admitted it made a mistake in a tweet.
