You would think Roy Williams would know how to cut down a net after a marquee win, but the Hall of Fame coach had a little accident Sunday after North Carolina beat Notre Dame to reach the Final Four.
While standing on a ladder after claiming his piece of the Elite Eight net in Philadelphia, Williams explained that the ladder moved. When he reached to grip the ladder for support, he also grabbed the end of the scissors and started bleeding.

But don't worry, Williams is fine. In fact, he's proud of the way his blood looked, although Tar Heel fans might be disappointed that he doesn't actually bleed Carolina blue.
"I’ve really got very good looking blood," Williams told reporters after the game. "It’s very bright, very deep colors.”
It's not the first time Williams has had a cut this tournament either. He told reporters how he hurt his tongue Friday against Indiana in the Sweet 16.

"I did bite my tongue and it was bleeding the whole first half two nights ago," Williams explained. "It’s not very pleasant but I was screaming at Brice [Johnson] to get his rear end up off the ground. He’d slipped and fall and took a nap instead of getting up and running back on defense."
While Williams’ blood may be a good luck charm for North Carolina, he's hoping instead that the Tar Heels gash the Syracuse Orange next Saturday in Houston.
