Fort Lauderdale's Maverick Rowan just gave one ACC team a big late-season recruiting steal.

The prep superstar announced Sunday that has committed to North Carolina State. He also held offers from Louisville, St. John's, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia and UCLA.

The 6-5, 180-pound swingman will reclassify to the class of 2015, he told ESPN's Jeff Borzello.

“I felt it would be the best fit for me,“ Rowan told Scout. “Coach Gottfried does a great job with his wings and getting them shots coming off wing. In the past, he's gotten shots for T.J. Warren and Trevor Lacey and I think I can be the impact wing that they were.”

Rowan is the seventh-ranked small forward in the country, according to 247sports.com.
