Michigan's basketball program picked up big news on Tuesday night.

The Wolverines are in the final-five for one of the top centers in the transfer portal.

That's Portland freshman Austin Rapp, a 6-foot-10 Australian.

Rapp averaged 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in his first collegiate season. He also shot it at 35.2 percent from 3.

The top-five for Rapp also includes Wisconsin, Iowa, Oregon and Clemson.

Because of Rapp's ability to stretch the floor and pass, Michigan wouldn't have to lock him in at the 5 at all times. He'd give May some cool offensive flexibility.

Being from Australia, Rapp wasn't ranked before committing to Portland.

The Pilots clearly got a steal, but in the modern era of the transfer portal, Rapp is about to be swiped away by a big-time program.
