Are the 76ers pursuing a trade for the 2nd overall pick?
Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported Thursday morning that "The 76ers have engaged with the Spurs about potentially moving up to the No. 2 pick."
He highlighted that the Sixers have had a private workout with VJ Edgecombe, and will have one next week with Ace Bailey.
Philly likely feels that a player like Dylan Harper might get picked ahead of their third-overall pick.

The future of Paul George is uncertain, but if they can draft a young player to pair with Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid, this team can bounce back pretty quickly if they stay healthy.
Jared McCain missed most of last season after a stellar start, so the assumption would be that Philly elects for a big guard/wing, as they already have Maxey and McCain in their backcourt.

It's interesting to see the Spurs engaging in trade talks when their second-overall pick, as it would be very valuable in trade talks for any star that they pursue.
They could get a nice return on top of the third overall pick if they decide to move their pick and move one spot back for Philly's third overall pick.
