The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to rebound from a disappointing season, one in which the team finished 25-57, missing the postseason for the first time since 2016.

2024Joel Embiid, who has been the longtime face of the franchise, has been the cornerstone of the team for nearly a decade; however, the All-Star big man could be on the move in a proposed blockbuster trade.

Per Fadeaway World, Joel Embiid would be sent to the Golden State Warriors in a deal that would reshape both franchises.

Golden State Warriors Receive: Joel Embiid

Philadelphia 76ers Receive: Jonathan Kuminga (Sign-and-Trade), Trayce Jackson-Davis, Brandin Podziemski, 2028 First-Round Pick (GSW), 2031 First-Round Pick (GSW)

"Kuminga, in particular, does not seem to be in Steve Kerr's long-term plans, and that could spell the end for him in San Francisco,"  Eddie Bitar wrote." He is too talented to be on the bench game after game, and the Warriors could leverage his presence to make a blockbuster trade.

He added, "The inclusion of two future first-round picks underscores the Warriors' commitment to securing another title in the Curry era because they will have to make a significant move to get out of the second round of the playoffs and back into title contention. Taking a gamble on Embiid could be the move that takes them over the top."

This deal would make sense for the Warriors if Embiid can stay healthy. Pairing a former MVP next to Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler would create a formidable team that could help lift the Warriors to another championship in the Steve Kerr-Stephen Curry era.

76ers would get significantly younger in the proposed deal, adding Jonathan Kuminga, who is entering this offseason as a free agent, along with Brandin Podziemski to pair with Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain, who is expected to make his return from injury next season. The addition of multiple draft picks would signal a shift towards a long-term rebuild for the 76ers.

The 76ers could sign Kuminga on a long-term deal, acquiring a player who has shown flashes of an all-star level of play throughout his career.  Last season, he averaged Kuminga's stats: 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists; however, he saw little playing time with the Warriors, with multiple DNP throughout the season.

A move to Philadelphia could provide Kuminga with a much-needed fresh start and expanded role.
