The Orlando Magic are ready to make some moves. Following a solid regular season that showcased real potential, the latest Orlando Magic news and rumors suggest that the team may become more aggressive in upgrading its roster. They supposedly are open to trading Cole Anthony, Jonathan Isaac, and a first-round pick in a possible trade. We fired up the NBA Trade Machine and created a possible Magic trade proposal based on that rumor.
Our Magic trade machine creation looks like this:
Magic receive: Jordan Poole and Khris Middleton
Washington Wizards receive: Cole Anthony, Jonathan Isaac, Goga Bitadze, Jett Howard, and a top-10 protected first-round pick
This might seem like a big trade package for the Magic to offer, but by making this pick top-10 protected, they can feel a little reassured.
This Magic trade gives them two key pieces. First of all, a young, 20-point-per-game scorer in Jordan Poole. Poole would be able to take a lot of offensive pressure off of Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, and they could help with some of his defensive weaknesses.
They’d also be acquiring Middleton. Middleton is a proven veteran who, when healthy, can make major contributions to a contending team. If Middleton can’t get healthy, he can become an expiring contract that adds flexibility to the Magic’s future.
Above all, though, they are getting two proven winners. Both Middleton and Poole know what it takes to win an NBA championship. That is an intangible factor that can’t be underestimated.

We will see if the Orlando Magic news and rumors are true. If they are, and the Magic are willing to take a risk by trading some key players and a pick for some high-risk, high-reward pieces, this could be a trade worth looking into.
