The shorthanded 76ers put up a solid fight against the Heat in Game 1, but Miami's firepower was too much for Philadelphia to handle.

The 76ers will have to go to battle without Joel Embiid again in Game 2, as the MVP candidate had been ruled out for the first two games of the series with an orbital fracture and concussion. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Embiid is set to be re-evaluated on Wednesday with the expectation that he should be available when the series returns to Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4.

The Heat are also missing a key player in veteran guard Kyle Lowry, who missed Game 1 and is already listed as out for Game 2 with a hamstring injury.

Even without Lowry, Miami was able to prevail as the 76ers had no answer for Bam Adebayo without Embiid, who went for 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Tyler Herro (25 points) also outplayed All-Star guard James Harden (16 points), which cannot happen with the Sixers already missing their best player.

Harden will have to turn back the clocks to the aggressive scoring version of himself if Philly is going to have a shot at tying this series in Game 2.
