The Golden State Warriors will host the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Wednesday in a Western Conference showdown.

The Warriors are struggling this season. They hold the 11th spot in the conference standings, sporting a 17-19 record. They have an 11-10 record at home this season.

Things recently just got tougher for the Warriors. They lost Chris Paul to a hand injury that will require surgery. They expect to miss their point guard for 4-to-6 weeks.

Help may be on the way in the form of Draymond Green who was suspended indefinitely by the NBA. Green has been ramping up for a return to play and may make his return to the lineup on Wednesday night against the Pelicans.

The Pelicans hold the seventh spot in the Western Conference with a 22-15 record this season. They're in a tight battle in the west, just four games away from the top spot.

Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram are leading the Pelicans on offense. They're averaging 21.8 and 22.3 points per game, respectively. C.J. McCollum is also averaging 20 points per game.

Steph Curry is single-handedly carrying the Warriors' offense. He's averaging 27.1 points per game. Klay Thompson is struggling this season, averaging 17.2 points per contest.
