D'Angelo Russell's Kobe Bryant impersonation includes a painful airball image

Shots fired.

After being benched by coach Byron Scott, along with fellow rookie Julius Randle, D'Angelo Russell has to make the most of his pre-game routine. That includes working on his post moves. While going through psuedo 1-on-1s with a trianer, the Ohio State product, yelled "Kobe!" to signify he was going to mimick his teammate. Well, at the end, his impersonation got a little too real when he completey airballed a fadeaway from the baseline.

Kobe's farewell season has been anything but fond for Lakers fans. The team is 3-18, heading into Wednesday night's game against the Timberwolves. The Black Mamba is averaging a team-best 16.2 points per game on a career-low 30.6 percent shooting from the field, including an embarrassing 21.9 percent clip from 3-point range.

I doubt Russell airballed the shot on purpose, but boy if it wasn't telling of just how bad things are for the Lakers right now. They can't even get warmups right.
