The Minnesota Timberwolves are still reeling from their five-game loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.

With uncertainty looming in the offseason and key players like Naz Reid and Julius Randle potentially leaving, there are growing questions about the team's direction after losing in the conference finals for the second consecutive year.

Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints has proposed a trade that would alleviate some of those concerns by addressing issues with another top team's roster.

Timberwolves receive: G Darius Garland, Pick No. 49 in 2025 NBA Draft.

Cavaliers receive: F Jaden McDaniels, G Mike Conley, F Leonard Miller, Pick No. 17 in 2025 NBA Draft

It may be a harsh blow to part with Jaden McDaniels, who has been a big part of the Timberwolves' defense throughout the years. He emerged as a pivotal rotational player for the Timberwolves, often guarding the team's best player; however, the acquisition may be worth the cost.

Garland was a big part of the Cavs' 64-win season. He took a giant leap last season, averaging 20.6 points, 6.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 40.1 percent from behind the arc, emerging as an All-Star for the second time in his career.

However, the Cavs are reportedly open to trading the star guard, leaving his future in Cleveland uncertain.

The 24-year-old guard remains one of the most talented point guards in the league; however, he must overcome his struggles in the postseason. Still, the Timberwolves would be getting a big-time point guard to pair with Anthony Edwards if there is a trade in place.
