Sometimes, a throwaway line explains everything.
Before game four of the Western Conference Finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving was warming up with his teammates. They were in street clothes and just getting in some light work. Nothing really worth mentioning outside of one seemingly throwaway line from Irving that came back to bite him.
Kyrie Irving just said, “this is their Super Bowl. It’s just a normal game for us.”

If you know anything about Minnesota sports, you know how difficult it can be to be. There has been a lot of heartbreak for the Minnesota fans, so that line resonates just a little more for the market than it would for any other fanbase.
