As the NBA world anxiously awaits Giannis Antetokounmpo's next move, rumors continue to swirl surrounding the superstar's future in Milwaukee.

Shams Charania dropped a bombshell when he reported that Antetokounmpo was open-minded about leaving Milwaukee after spending 12 seasons with the franchise, a tenure that included delivering the Bucks their first championship since 1971.

Teams around the league could be positioning themselves as potential suitors for the two-time MVP, including one shocking team as a possible trade suitor.

During an appearance on ESPN Get Up, NBA insider Brian Windhorst listed the Boston Celtics as a possible team that could make a move to acquire the two-time MVP.

"The move for Giannis, if he has the control, is to go to the East," Windhorst said. "I think you have to look at the teams that could make a trade for Giannis that the Bucks would accept and, on the other side of the trade, would have a contending team. So, Boston would be on that list."

This comes after Celtic's hopes of repeating as champions were dashed when the New York Knicks eliminated the Celtics in the second round of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Bucks were eliminated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs by the Indiana Pacers.

Antetokounmpo joining the Celtics would undoubtedly shake up the Eastern Conference. To make such a blockbuster deal, the  Celtics would possibly need to part ways with either Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum for the trade to make sense.

While no formal talks have taken place, Windhorst's speculation illustrates the Celtics need to continue building a championship-contending roster.
