Forget best power forward of today. Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo is entering the levels of Tim Duncan, Karl Malone and Dirk Nowitzki at the position.
Since breaking out in 2017, the big man from Greece has received plenty of individual accolades, including two NBA MVP awards and also winning the ESPY Award for Best NBA Player and even Best Male Athlete in 2019.
And at this year's ESPY Awards, he could be bringing home award number three.
Antetokounmpo has once again been named a nominee for the Best NBA Player at this year's awards, along with Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, and Oklahoma City Thunder guard, NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Giannis continued his dominant ways in the 2024-25 season, finishing second behind Gilgeous-Alexander in scoring with 30.4, sixth in rebounds with 11.9 and even ranked 13th in assists with 6.5, finishing third in NBA MVP voting behind Jokic and the eventual winner Gilgeous-Alexander.
Since being selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, in addition to his two MVP awards, "The Greek Freak" has also notched nine NBA All-Star appearances, with an All-Star Game MVP awarding in the 2021 game, and has also been named to the All-NBA first-team every year since 2019.
The big man has also showed his presence on defense very well, taking home the 2019-20 NBA Defensive Player of the Year award.
Voting for the ESPY's is open now at this link. The winners will be revealed at the 2025 ESPY Awards ceremony on July 16 from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
